Compression Springs

Compression springs are open wound helical springs that exert a load or force when compressed.  They may be cylindrical, conical, barrel shaped or concave in form with ends left plain or ground.  Compression springs are the most popular form of spring, mainly due to ease of manufacture, thus giving economy whilst maintaining close tolerances on loads.  Also, in terms of energy storage per unit volume of material, the compression spring is one of the most efficient types.  Our raw wire stock ranges from 0.25mm diameter upwards in various material types - should you require a quotation for a compression spring, please use the Enquiries section. We can also supply springs with various coatings including bright zinc plate, phosphate etc.
